"Building a Community of Possibility with Time Dollars"

This introductory workshop offers you the opportunity to deepen your understanding of Time Dollars, examine the different ways in which using Time Dollars will work well for your group or organization's goals, and assess your readiness for starting a Time Dollar Exchange. The interactive workshop creates a dynamic atmosphere that builds trust, encourages active learning, and supports participants in exploring new ideas and new solutions.

Participants will:

Experience how Time Dollars generate mutually-supportive exchanges that build on members' strengths
Review the four core values of Co-Production that underlie Time Dollars
Examine the use of Time Dollars in different settings - from building a greater sense of community, to supporting the elderly, to reshaping the face of juvenile justice or education
Brainstorm potential benefits of using Time Dollars in their own community, organization or agency
Review a "readiness check-list" for moving ahead with Time Dollars

Who Should Attend: Individuals and members of community groups, non-profit organizations, churches, and agencies who seek to strengthen the informal support networks within their community or build on the strengths of the clients whom they serve

Length: 4 hours

Group Size: 15-30 participants

Cost: $1,500 per session. The speaker's travel expenses and per-participant materials are additional.

As a membership-driven network, and in keeping with the Time Dollar vision and mission, we at Time Dollar USA strive to keep costs affordable. A good way to achieve affordability is to invite others to co-sponsor the workshop with you. In addition to stretching scarce dollars, co-sponsorship can also increase the likelihood that your co-sponsoring partners will also choose to take up Time Dollars. This has the added benefit of creating a mutual support system that will help you grow your Time Dollar Exchange.
