Anita Galloway
Coordinator/ Cross-Age Peer Tutoring Program

Anita Galloway has five years teaching experience in grades K-12. During that time, she served as lead teacher, learning environment coordinator, school and parent/community liaison, and certified trainer. She is currently a member of the District of Columbia Public Schools Assessment Design and Planning Council.

As the Coordinator of the Cross-Age Peer Tutoring Program, Anita recruits Youth Court respondents to participate in tutoring first, second and third graders. Both tutee and tutor receive academic support from the program. Anita provides program oversight at the schools, trains tutors, fosters and nurtures school, parental and community relationships, and promotes academic achievement and personal success for the students in the program.

A product of the D.C. Public Schools, Anita earned her B.A. in English/Education from Norfolk State University. She will earn her M.A. in Education Administration, Curriculum and Policy from The Catholic University of America.
